The following outstanding volleyball players and students have committed to attend Salem College this fall, according to head volleyball coach Amanda Ziemba:
-Keri Nolan was a star outside hitter at West Brunswick High School in Calabash, North Carolina where she led her team to a conference championship in 2009. She was also selected as the most valuable offensive player in 2008-2009, along with being selected to the first team all-conference in 2008 and 2009.
-Aubrey Bradshaw played four years of varsity volleyball, two years at East Burke High School and the remaining two years at Jimmy C. Draughn in Morganton, NC. She was her team's most valuable player and was an all-conference selection in 2008 and 2009. Bradshaw helped lead her team to a conference championship in 2008, and she played with Burke County Volleyball Club as well.
-Kassandra Money had a very strong four years as a defensive specailist at East Wilkes High in Ronda, NC. Money was selected to the honorable mention all-conference team as a senior. She was her team's most valuable player for defense as a senior, and was chosen as a floor captain.
-Chelsea Leigh Jones had a successful career at Alleghany High School in Sparta, NC. Jones was selected to the all-conference team during her junior and senior seasons. She was selected as her team's most valuable player as a senior. Jones helped her team to back to back conference championships in 2008 and 2009, and to a district championship in 2009. She also played club volleyball for Kent Phillips for the AVC-Black Ice.
